First of all, YES you do!
You may be just starting out your business or a veteran in your industry, but when considering a website design you need to make sure to consider how responsive the design is. What is a responsive website design?
Well, people don’t just rely on computers anymore. Times are changing and if you want your business to succeed, you need to change with it and make sure your content is mobile friendly.
Did you know that 4 out of 5 purchases now are made on mobile devices? So if you are considering a website overhaul or building a new one, this must be one of the major factors you consider. I know you are probably thinking this is going to cost you an arm and a leg, when in fact it doesn’t have to.
Since I got my feet wet in this industry last year, I have heard horror stories of people over paying for simple things they didn’t need to and responsiveness is one of them. One local shop owner I know, said he was told adding a responsive design element would be an additional six hundred dollars, when he paid originally about two thousand for his site. The sad part was he didn’t even get an end product he was happy with.
If your designer is working in WordPress, making the site responsive is as simple as choosing a responsive theme. There are ways to use HTML code for this, but takes way more time.
I would recommend before you start down this path do some investigating so you don’t get in too deep financially.
